The Chestnut Tree Dining Hall is open to all residents of Chestnut Residence.
ACCESS: Students access the dining hall by swiping their TCard with the staff at the entrance. Residents will not be permitted into the dining hall without their TCard present. A picture on their phone of the TCard, or reading out the digits of the TCard will not be allowed.
MEAL PLANS: All three Chestnut meal plans (Plan A, Plan B & Plan C) have unlimited access to the Chestnut Dining Hall, 7 days a week. You can go in and out as frequently as you wish and consume as much food as desired. In addition to the unlimited access, Plan A has $100 TBucks, Plan B has $200, and Plan C has $300. Therefore, the only difference between the plans is the amount of TBucks. TBucks can be used at many locations on campus (U of T Map – look under “Food”), including the U of T Bookstore.

Meals to Go (lunch only) can be ordered online and are a great lunchtime solution for days where you may be on campus all day and don’t have time to come back to Chestnut, or even if it’s just cold or rainy and you don’t feel like making the trip back and forth.
- You can have your pick of a number of deluxe sandwiches and meal-sized salads, side salad, sides of raw vegetables and a variety of soft drinks.
- You must order your meal at least 24 hours prior to the meal pickup.
- The cut off time for ordering is 7AM the day BEFORE. You can place a one-time offer, or standing orders as you prefer. Please note that there is a $4 fee charge for each meal.

The 2018 Fall Term meal plan period begins at 5:00 PM on Sunday, September 2, 2018 and ends at 8PM on Friday, December 21, 2018.
The 2019 Winter Term meal plan period begins at 7AM on Monday, January 7, 2019 and ends at 8PM on Tuesday, April 30, 2019.
